Kellen began his career in public radio as a programming assistant at WXPN in Philadelphia, PA while attending the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to hosting a jazz show on WQHS, Penn's student station, he returned to his hometown of Sacramento, CA each summer to work for KXJZ, a jazz and NPR station. There, he served as an operations intern, a programming assistant, and eventually as an evening DJ. After graduating from Penn with a degree in English and Music, he relocated to LA, hosting an evening show on KKJZ (KJazz) from 2004 through early 2007. He's currently a writer and producer for the broadcast series "Talkin' Jazz with Scott Willis" and the Contemporary Jazz programmer for Slacker Radio.
